Job summary

Stellar Energy Americas is seeking a dependable Custodian to maintain a clean and safe work environment at our Fort Worth facility. The role covers entryways, offices, restrooms, and common areas with attention to detail and adherence to safety and cleaning protocols.

This full-time, non-exempt position reports to the Facility Maintenance Supervisor and requires the ability to work Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional evenings or weekends as duties demand.

Qualifications

• Related experience or training in custodial work.
• Preferred knowledge of industrial cleaning practices is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize entry/lobby, general office areas, break rooms, restrooms, hallways, windows, break room appliances, and polish fixtures.
• Ensure floors are mopped, washed, and vacuumed; empty trash; remove recycling.
• Maintain outside walk areas and respond to inspections and logs; assist with shop floor cleanliness if needed.
• Support ISO 9001 readiness and participate in audits.

Summary Objective

The Custodian maintains a clean working environment for all staff and visitors, ensuring all areas are safe.

Essential Functions

• Clean and sanitize entry/lobby, general office areas, break rooms, restrooms, hallways, windows, break room appliances, and polish fixtures (may assist in maintaining cleanliness of shop floor if needed)
• Make sure floors are mopped, washed, and vacuumed
• Empty trash
• Remove recycling materials
• Maintain outside walk areas, including sweeping debris and washing walkways
• Responsibilities may require sedentary work, including but not limited to computer operation, classroom or online training, job observations/inspections, and peer work review
• Work may require the operation of janitorial equipment including hoppers and/or tuggers
• Prepares for ISO 9001 and other audits

Work Location

This position will work out of our facilities in Fort Worth, TX. This position is not approved for telecommuting or working remotely.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is performed inside and outside with uncontrolled weather conditions.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand. The employee must frequently lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. First shift days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel is primarily not required with exception to local travel during the business day.
