Job summary

Hampton-Dumont Community School District in Hampton, IA is seeking a High School Afternoon/Night Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students and staff. Shifts run 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm throughout the school year.

Responsibilities include reporting maintenance issues, managing supplies, cleaning all areas daily, sanitizing bathrooms, assisting with furniture movement, and communicating with the maintenance supervisor.

• Assist in moving furniture and equipment as needed.
• Report vandalism to the maintenance supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the maintenance supervisor, principal, or superintendent.

Job Description

The Hampton-Dumont Community School District has an opening for a High School Afternoon/Night Custodian. Hours: 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm

1. 1. Report any general plumbing or electrical issuesto maintenance supervisor.
2. 2. Maintain proper supply levels for the building including all cleaning supplies, bathroom supplies, cleaning equipment, electrical and plumbing supplies, and all other building supplies necessary to operate the building throughout the school year.
3. 3. Clean, sweep, dust, disinfect, mop, empty waste baskets, and vacuum all rooms on a daily basis.
4. 4. Clean and disinfect all bathrooms, drinking fountains, wrestling room, and locker rooms daily.
5. 5. To help in the moving of all furniture and equipment as needed.
6. 6. To report all vandalism to the maintenance supervisor.
7. 7. To assume all other duties as assigned by the maintenance supervisor. principal, or superintendent of the district.
