Position:

Custodian

Reports to:

General Manager (GM) / Assistant Manager (AM)

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Thoroughly clean and sanitize restrooms, locker rooms, shower rooms, stall walls, doors, and waste areas.
2. Inspect and clean all windows and window frames, both interior and exterior.
3. Detail clean baseboards, wall trim, walls, and handrails throughout the facility, ensuring surfaces are free of handprints, scuff marks, and dust.
4. Dust and clean air vents, TVs, signage, storage or glass doors, and light fixtures.
5. Assist in front desk operations as needed, including using the Point of Sale system.
6. Follow cleaning lists and complete other assigned tasks.
7. Remove or 'push down' trash from all waste areas.
8. Clean all rubber or tile flooring throughout the gym, including auxiliary rooms and under gym equipment, using appropriate equipment.
9. Operate floor scrubbers and vacuum cleaners, demonstrating knowledge of their use.
10. Communicate effectively with members and provide high-level member service.
11. Keep storage rooms clean and organized, with products properly arranged on shelving racks, discarding loose boxes and trash.
12. Notify management when cleaning supplies inventory is low.

Qualifications:

1. Must be at least 18 years old.
2. High School Diploma or equivalent required.
3. Custodial experience preferred.
4. Excellent attendance and punctuality skills.
5. Strong communication skills with internal and external customers.
6. Team-oriented, motivated, and well-organized.
7. Ability to think critically and proactively evaluate solutions to problems.

Additional Information:

• This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
• Work environment involves routine use of custodial equipment in a noise-variable setting.
• Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting up to 75 pounds, and specific vision abilities.
• Position can be full-time or part-time, with hours set during club operation times, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts.
• No travel expected.
