Job summary

Easterseals Redwood is seeking a Custodian to maintain clean, safe facilities at our Kentucky campus. Under supervision of the Facilities Manager, you will perform cleaning, stocking, and respond to custodial requests to support a welcoming environment for staff and visitors.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, custodial experience preferred, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Evening and weekend availability is a plus, and the role offers competitive pay starting at $16.50 per

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors daily in all common areas, program rooms, offices and restrooms.
• Perform floor care and operate floor polishing/stripping equipment safely.
• Respond to custodial radio calls and maintain clean facilities.
• Close the building when required: turn off lights, adjust heat/AC, secure doors/windows, activate the security system.
• Remove all waste and trash daily.
• Maintain clean, safe, and well-functioning facility for employees, clients, and visitors.

About Being a Custodian at Easterseals Redwood:

This position, under direction of the Facilities Manager and delegated supervision of the Maintenance Lead, conducts all cleaning, stocking or materials and supplies and responds to all custodial radio calls for Redwood facilities and grounds. The custodian cleans all rooms, common areas, offices and restrooms; performs floor care and maintenance and assists the maintenance staff with buildings and grounds needs as required. This position maintains, in good clean condition, all areas of Redwood; providing a safe, clean, comfortable and well-functioning facility to fulfill the needs of the organization; employees, clients and our visitors.

• Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors in all common areas, program rooms, offices and restrooms daily or as assigned.
• Skills and abilities must include professional floor care and safe and adequate use of floor polishing and stripping equipment.
• May be required to close the building, including turning off lights, adjustment of heat/air conditioning, closing of windows and doors, and activation of the security system.
• Removes all waste and trash from all areas daily or as assigned/scheduled.
