Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Brandywine is seeking a Part-Time Facility Associate at the Lionville Community YMCA in Exton, PA 19341. The role supports custodial services to ensure a clean, safe environment for members and staff.

You will perform cleaning, sanitizing, trash removal, and light maintenance; assist with room setup; and report health or safety issues. A high school diploma and 3 years custodial experience are required; fluent English and a valid driver’s license are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in custodial field.
• Knowledge of basic custodial equipment and functions.
• Ability to relate well with staff and public.
• Obtain and/or maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to adjust schedule to meet job demands.
• Obtain and maintain new hire certifications within 90 days of hire.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Must be fluent in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Understand and perform custodial functions as directed by Facility Director.
• Maintain cleanliness of building at all times.
• Cleaning, sanitizing, mopping, trash removal, dusting, window cleaning, and grounds keeping.
• Maintain grounds in a safe and pleasing appearance.
• Maintain a safe environment for members and staff.
• Assist with room setup, breakdown, and snow removal as needed.
• Report health, safety or cleanliness issues to supervisor.
• Maintain inventory of custodial supplies.
• Follow safety standards and SOPs.
• Assist with building and fire inspections.
• Ensures compliance with all YGBW policies and standard operating procedures.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

• Understand and perform custodial functions as directed by Facility Director.
• Maintain cleanliness of building at all times.
• Cleaning, sanitizing, mopping, trash removal, dusting, window cleaning, and grounds keeping.
• Maintain grounds in a safe manner and pleasing appearance according to the season.
• Maintain a safe environment for members and staff while performing work duties.
• Assist with room set up and breakdown, and snow removal as needed.
• Evaluate and report any health, safety or cleanliness issues to supervisor.
• Maintain an adequate inventory of custodial and maintenance supplies.
• Follow all Association and applicable safety standards when performing any tasks.
• Assist with maintaining all buildings and fire suppression inspections.
• Ensures compliance with all YGBW policies and standard operating procedures.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications: What You’ll Need
