Delaware County (OH) is seeking a custodian to maintain cleanliness and safety across county buildings. Responsibilities include cleaning offices, sanitizing restrooms, and general maintenance while reporting to the Operations Coordinator.

A high school diploma or GED is required, with related work experience preferred. A valid driver's license and proof of insurance are mandatory, along with the ability to drive on county business. Regular attendance and flexibility for overtime are expected.

• Must possess a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance per County policy, with acceptable driving record.
• Must meet and maintain qualifications for driving on county business as a continued condition of employment.
• All required licenses and certificates must be maintained as a condition of continued employment.

Responsabilidades

• Unlocks and locks buildings and turns lights on and off.
• Cleans, sanitizes, and stocks restrooms with paper products and supplies as needed.
• Empties waste baskets and disposes of trash as needed.
• Occasional disposal of body fluids.
• Vacuums, dusts, washes, and sweeps to keep offices and halls clean.
• Buffs floors with high speed buffer.
• Replaces light bulbs as needed.
• Washes windows and baseboards as needed.
• Cleans refrigerators out as needed.
• Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance.
• Attends various training sessions, video conferences, and workshops.
• Works overtime and outside of typical work schedule/business hours as required.

Individual is responsilble for the cleaning of offices and performing other custodial duties within the buildings. Individual reports to the Operations Coordinator.High school education or GED plus related work experience. Work consists of varied, standardized, and non-standardized tasks requiring the application of numerous procedures.

Must possess a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance that complies with the County policy combined with an acceptable driving record.

Must meet and maintain qualifications for driving on county business as a continued condition of employment.
