Job summary

Horizon Goodwill Industries, Inc. in Cumberland, MD is seeking a part-time Custodian to perform on-site custodial duties per contract specifications.

You will handle cleaning, floor care, window washing, and safety procedures while working with disabled and disadvantaged individuals respectfully. The position requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs with assistance, work on feet, and operate custodial equipment.

Qualifications

• Pass pre-screenings such as background or drug screenings.
• Position is considered essential personnel and will be required to report to work in inclement weather.
• Must have reliable transportation, and ability to get to job site and to other sites as needed.
• Must have valid driver's license and have ability to drive company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned indoor and outdoor work areas including trash removal, dusting, vacuuming, sweeping/dusting mopping, wet mopping, and disinfectant cleaning of restrooms.
• Assist with periodical work such as stripping and sealing floors, carpet cleaning, and window washing.
• Learn and perform custodial procedures and use light and heavy custodial equipment.
• Attend required agency meetings and training sessions.
• Follow safety procedures and policies and maintain professional image.
• Lift up to 50 lbs with assistance and work on feet for long periods, including stairs.
