Job summary

BD is seeking a housekeeping associate at its USA GA Covington Global Distribution Center. You will keep assigned areas clean, document activities, manage supplies, and operate floor scrubber and material handling equipment.

Successful candidates typically have a High School Diploma or GED, experience with housekeeping and light maintenance, and strong organizational and safety awareness. This role requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and adaptability to a fast-paced

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for keeping assigned areas clean and in orderly fashion.
• Required to document all cleaning activities per SOP guidelines.
• Responsible for maintaining inventory of housekeeping supplies and entering supply orders.
• Responsible for running the floor scrubber and some MHE.
• Become knowledgeable of the responsibilities of the other positions to assist in times of urgency, breaks, absences, or vacation.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
• Experience in general housekeeping and light maintenance, preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Ability to operate MHE (Material Handling Equipment).
• General knowledge of housekeeping equipment, chemicals, products, and techniques.
• Ability to perform light general facility maintenance.
• Excellent organizational, analytical and process efficiency skills.
• Strong initiative and drive for results.

Work Environment: (if applicable) The noise level is moderate to loud. There will almost always be exposure to work near moving mechanical equipment, exposure to precarious situations and potential temperature excursions. Occasionally the position will have exposure to fumes/airborne particles.
