Chicago’s First Lady, the industry leader in Chicago tours and private events, is seeking a Dock Custodian to join our exciting and high-volume workplace. Serving Chicago for over 80 years, our company has grown to include nine vessels operating every March - November from our dock at the Southeast corner of the Michigan Avenue Bridge. The goal of the custodian is to help keep the company maintain excellent working conditions by keeping the facility clean, tidy, and safe so our coworkers and guests can enjoy.

Performance Responsibilities

• Have physical endurance to cover a large space

• Empty trash and garbage cans and reline cans with liners around the facility

• Perform sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, scrubbing, and window cleaning around the facility

• Replenish supplies and maintain inventory according to Facilities Director guidelines

• Perform cleaning tasks based on a schedule created by Facilities Director

• Respond to maintenance requests quickly and with a professional manner

• Assist with minor repairs if needed

• Police the riverwalk grounds, including under the Michigan Avenue stairway entrance and ensure they are free of litter

• Perform other duties as assigned
