Olsten Staffing is assisting a local client in Cheraw, South Carolina to find an experienced and eager custodian to join their growing team. The custodian will maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility with daily cleaning and upkeep of offices, restrooms, halls, classrooms, and common areas while ensuring cleanliness and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and custodial experience, the ability to work independently, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous custodial or janitorial experience is required.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Dependable with excellent attendance.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize offices, classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish floors and surfaces.
• Empty trash and recycling containers and dispose of waste properly.
• Clean and restock restroom supplies, including soap, paper towels, and toilet tissue.
• Clean windows, doors, and other glass surfaces as needed.
• Maintain break rooms and other shared spaces.
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or needed repairs.
• Set up and move tables, chairs, and other equipment as needed.
• Safely operate custodial equipment and use cleaning chemicals according to established procedures.
• Keep custodial supplies and storage areas clean and organized.
• Perform other general cleaning and custodial duties as assigned.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Compensation & Schedule

• Pay: $10.00 per hour
• Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Pay Details: $10.00 per hour
