Job summary

Valence is seeking a janitorial staff member in Blairsville, Indiana to maintain cleanliness in offices and breakrooms. The ideal candidate has at least a high school diploma and preferably some experience in janitorial or custodial work. Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, dusting, and ensuring that all areas are hygienic.

Compensation ranges from $16 to $18 per hour, with benefits that include medical, dental, vision, and a 401(K) plan with a 3% match.

Qualifications

• Preferred previous janitorial/custodial experience.

Responsibilities

• Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming.
• Cleaning machines, mixers, table racks, conveyors, dishes, refrigerators.
• Dusting of all office furniture and wiping down of desks.
• Cleaning all bathrooms and breakrooms.
• Restocking bathrooms/breakrooms.
• Emptying trash and recycle cans.
• Strip, clean, buff, and apply floor sealer and shampoo carpets.
• Ensure soap and paper towel dispensers are full at all times.
• General cleaning: removal of garbage and debris in all departments.
• Pick up trash in parking lots and areas surrounding buildings.
• Wear necessary PPE to protect from hazards.

Work Environment
