Job summary

Concorde Battery Georgia Corporation is seeking a driven candidate for custodial maintenance at our Georgia facility, near west Atlanta. The role emphasizes safety, attention to detail, and physical endurance for a large workspace.

Training is provided by the Maintenance Supervisor, with a schedule primarily on the first shift and potential overtime based on customer demand. No previous experience is required, but reliability and punctuality are essential to keep the facility clean and compliant

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop floors, vacuum carpets and maintain clean facilities.
• Stock locker rooms, empty trash, sanitize surfaces daily.
• Clean toilets, sinks, showers, and restock disposables.
• Handle uniforms, laundry, and respirator washing as needed.
• Operate floor scrubber and assist with duct cleaning where required.
• Follow safety rules and report defective equipment.

Concorde Battery Georgia Corporation manufactures aircraft batteries. Pretty cool, right? We think so. We opened the doors at our Georgia facility in 2014, located just outside of west Atlanta. However, we aren't completely new to the industry. We've actually been in business on the west coast for over 40 years and continue to grow to meet the needs of our customers. Concorde Battery Georgia Corporation is currently looking for a driven candidate to participate in the cleanliness of the facility. Successful candidate will receive the day to day instructions from the Maintenance Supervisor. The position requires physical endurance to cover a large space. A keen eye for attention to detail and diligence are also imperative in custodial maintenance. The candidate will be given hands on training by the supervisor and colleagues. This position has an ideal work schedule, only first shift hours and overtime available dependent on customer demand. Previous experience is not required but a plus.

Competencies:

• Sweep and mop floors and vacuum carpets.
• Ensure employees are prepared for the next day by stocking locker room, taking out trash, and cleaning all surfaces.
• Wash and sanitize toilets, sinks, showers, and restock disposables in both restrooms and locker rooms.
• Gather soiled uniforms and place into laundry bags.
• Gather respirators and wash them using the industrial respirator wash machine.
• Maintain parking lot cleanliness regularly.
• Occasional seasonal outdoor work (yard maintenance and snow shoveling).
• Drive floor scrubber.
• Vacuum large areas with central vacuum system.
• Use scissor lift to clean ducting and other items near ceiling.
• Follow written and oral instructions.
• Standing for long periods of time.
• Maneuvering up to 50 pounds.
• Reaching, carrying, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling.
• Wearing a respirator and other required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Comply with all safety requirements; participate in safety training/practices.
• Maintain a clean work area and follow company hygiene guidelines.
• Use small hand tools.
• Communicate to supervisor when detecting defective equipment.
• Reading numbers and letters.
• Work with and around hazardous materials.
• Work in hot and cold temperatures.

Education and Qualifications:

Schedule:

• Monday Friday 6:00am 2:30pm
• Overtime available dependent on customer demand
