The role supports cleanliness and order throughout the facility with responsibilities including cleaning floors, fixtures, and offices, and maintaining restrooms and public areas. The position requires reliable attendance and the ability to follow instructions, with a work schedule of Mon - Fri 1530-2330 and a safety-driven work environment.

Responsibilities

• Clean and polish lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
• Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, rest rooms, corridors and other areas as assigned.
• Sweep, scrub, wax, and polish floors; dust furniture and equipment.
• Wash walls, ceilings, and woodwork; wash windows and sills.
• Empty wastebaskets and transport trash to disposal area.
• Replenish bathroom supplies; set up tables and chairs for events.

Job Description

The Custodian is responsible for keeping the interior of the facility clean and in orderly condition.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim
• Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas
• Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floor
• Dusts furniture and equipment
• Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork
• Washes windows, door panels, and sills
• Empties wastebaskets
• Transports trash and waste to disposal area
• Replenishes bathroom supplies
• Sets up tables and chairs in auditorium or hall

Requirements

• Minimum 18 years old
• Good work record

• The ability to receive and follow instructions
• The ability to work well and get along with other employees and/or customers
• In the event of drivers, to have a good MVR
• Must be able to pass the Company physical
• Must have a neat appearance
• Janitorial experience preferred

• Must be able to perform some yard work/landscaping activities
• Must be able to use/control all equipment in the department

Physical Requirements

Position will be required to comply with the CCBCU Personal Protective Equipment Program. Position is required to wear safety toed shoes when performing the following tasks: Operating Powered Industrial Equipment or Working in an Area where Powered Industrial Equipment is in use, Fleet Maintenance, Working with Palletized Product, Use of Hand Trucks/Dollies to Deliver Product, Cooler Services, etc.
