Job summary

Haidilao in Arcadia, CA is hiring a custodian to keep the restaurant clean and welcoming, including dining areas and restrooms. The role requires lifting 20–40 pounds, standing for long periods, and adhering to safety standards. Fluency in English is required; Mandarin or Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness of the entire restaurant at all times, including common areas, restrooms, and waiting areas.
• Responsible for the management of the sauce bar.
• Ensure replenishment of sauce and dishes at the sauce bar on time.
• Maintain cleaning equipment to avoid waste and expenses.
• Greet customers and accommodate reasonable requests.
• Report lost items to the manager immediately after finding them.
• Address ad-hoc incidents promptly and adequately (e.g., vomiting, broken tableware).
• Follow safety procedures and policies strictly.
• Assist colleagues to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

The custodian will be performing a variety of custodial duties for restaurants to maintaining a clean dining environment for customers. Such duties shall be in accordance with established standards, instructions, and procedures of Haidilao.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, deliver and/or serve items weighing up to 20-40 pounds throughout the entire shift(6-8hours)
• Ability to stand and walk continually throughout the entire shift(6-8hours)
• Ability to bend, stoop and reach for products and items
• Ability to work to various temperature environment, for example low temperature in the refrigerator and high temperature in the cooking area
• Ability to clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation
• Ability to work in loud areas, for example, the music for special performance and/or loud noise from the dishwasher machine
• Ability to attend work as scheduled, working various schedules and shifts throughout normal business hours

Education & Qualifications

• High school diploma, or equivalent work experience.
• California Food Handler Certificate
• Fluent in English / Preferred languages: Mandarin and Spanish

Requirements
