Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is seeking a Custodian to maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all assigned areas. The role supports a fast-paced environment with early morning shifts and teamwork.

You will perform daily duties, handle hazardous waste responsibilities when required, operate cleaning equipment, and ensure a professional, safe workplace. Training provided; lifting up to 35 pounds.

Qualifications

• No formal education required; 3–6 months training or experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals and other documents; bilingual a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; teamwork is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule.
• Perform Hazardous Waste responsibilities including collecting, classifying, sorting, storing, shipping and receiving, labeling, cleaning, recycling and packaging of special and hazardous waste.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment.
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area.
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
• Comply with safety rules, policies and procedures.
• Alert others to risk behavior and respond appropriately.
• Perform work assignments in a team with other employees.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies and rules.
• Take direction and respond to supervision.
• Communicate with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers and customers in a professional manner.
• Fill in during staff shortages.
• Support shift lead in completing punch‑list items.
• Use proper personal protective equipment.
• Present a professional appearance and conduct.
• Understand customer service and satisfaction.
• Understand reporting systems and the environment.

The Custodian is responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of all areas assigned.

• Education and/or Experience: No specific education requirement, 3-6 months training or experience preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: May be required to have a valid driver’s license; completed all safety and task‑training certification; may be required to be forklift certified.
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Bilingual a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals and other documents.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willingness to share with team.
• Knowledge of the upkeep and care of cleaning equipment.
• Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Compensation and Shift

Monday‑Friday: 7:00 am–10:00 am
$12.00–$13.00 per hour
