Job summary

Keel Platform LLC is seeking a Custodian to maintain cleanliness in our large manufacturing facility in Alma, MI. You will work a Day shift from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional maintenance assistance.

Responsibilities include cleaning walls, floors, and equipment, restocking supplies, and managing waste and sanitation daily. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and quality standards across all operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years janitorial/custodial experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning products required.
• Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions on cleaning product labels.
• Good communication skills and the ability to prioritize with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Clean walls, floors, equipment, or other areas of the facility as needed.
• Restock cleaning supplies and maintain janitor closets in an organized, safe manner.
• Waste disposal, coolant supplies and waste system, and general sanitation of the facilities will be daily tasks.
• Assist maintenance mechanics with their tasks occasionally.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Your Mission:

As a Custodian for Keel, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of our large manufacturing facility and occasionally assisting the maintenance staff.

Shift: Days, Monday - Friday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm

Explore the Depth of the Role:

• Duties include cleaning walls, floors, equipment, or any other areas of the facility as needed.
• You will restock cleaning supplies and maintain janitor closets in an organized, safe manner.
• Waste disposal, managing coolant supplies and waste system, and general sanitation of the facilities will be daily tasks.
• Other maintenance duties such as equipment and lighting will be managed as needed.
• May be asked to assist maintenance mechanics with their tasks occasionally.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Mission Readiness:

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning products required.
• 1+ years of janitorial/custodial experience preferred.
• Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions, such as those on cleaning product labels.

Physical Requirements:

• May be required to stand, walk, sit, reach/pull/push with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel regularly.
• May lift or carry 50lbs. Weights exceeding 50lbs will require mechanical means to maneuver.
