Job summary

Gordon Food Service in Aberdeen, MD is hiring a Custodian to support our distribution center operations. You will sweep, mop, scrub, vacuum, empty trash, and help maintain clean, organized facilities in extreme temperatures (-25F to 100F).

No prior experience required; on-the-job training is provided. Work Sunday-Thursday from 10:00PM to 6:30PM with opportunities to earn additional incentives and participate in our benefits programs starting on day one.

Qualifications

• You must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed - holidays are very important to our customers!
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits, updates, complete paperwork, and follow verbal instructions).
• We have frozen products - your ability to work in extreme cold or hot conditions (-25F to 100F) is required while you’re here.
• Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage (including marijuana) and a background check.

Starting Hourly Rate

$19.52 with an increase to $19.91 at 6 months. The hourly max rate is $23.42. All employees start out at the minimum rate

Gordon Food Service takes pride in delivering seamless order processing and delivery to our customers, and our warehouse staff is the backbone of our success. As a custodian, you'll support our team by maintaining the buildings to ensure clean, organized operations. You will also sweep, mop, scrub, vacuum, empty the trash, clear snow, and maintain the landscaping. You can expect to work in extreme temperatures (-25F to 100F) in the distribution center. There's no experience required - we'll train you how to get the job done!
