Job summary

Gordon Food Service in Aberdeen, MD is hiring a 3rd Shift Custodian to keep our distribution center clean and well-maintained. You will perform routine cleaning tasks, support the evening team, and help ensure a safe and efficient warehouse environment.

The role requires reliability, the ability to work nights Sunday through Thursday, and the stamina to work in extreme temperatures (-25F to 100F). Training is provided and veterans are encouraged to apply.

• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Successfully pass a drug test and background check.

Distribution Center Address:

504 Advantage Ave, Aberdeen MD

Starting Hourly Rate

$19.52 (Plus $1.00 shift differential) with an increase to $19.91 at 6 months.The hourly max rate is $23.42. (All employees start out at the minimum rate)

• Sunday - Thursday work week, with Friday and Saturdays off

• 3rd Shift -7:00 PM- 3:30 AM

Gordon Food Service takes pride in delivering seamless order processing and delivery to our customers, and our warehouse staff is the backbone of our success. As a custodian, you'll support our team by maintaining the buildings to ensure clean, organized operations. You will also sweep, mop, scrub, vacuum, empty the trash, clear snow, and maintain the landscaping. You can expect to work in extreme temperatures (-25F to 100F) in the distribution center. There's no experience required - we'll train you how to get the job done!

• You must be 18 years of age or older.

• Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed - holidays are very important to our customers!

• We have frozen products - your ability to work in extreme cold or hot conditions(-25F to 100F) is required while you're here.

• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits, updates, complete paperwork, and follow verbal instructions).

• Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage (including marijuana) and a background check.
