Job summary

Regions Hospital in Saint Paul is seeking a positive Custodial Worker II to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients and staff. This casual, 10pm–6:30am shift requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, read, write and follow directions in English, and perform tasks with a safety-conscious approach.

Duties include cleaning all areas per procedures, moving supplies and light equipment, and performing other duties as assigned. Experience in hospital custodial work is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Custodial experience in a hospital-related environment preferred.
• Must be able to read, write and follow directions in English.
• Physical requirements: lift up to 50 pounds.
• Push/pull 30 pounds up to 90 feet.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and servicing all areas of the hospital according to established procedures.
• Moves supplies throughout the hospital and may move light equipment or furniture per department set up request.
• Performs a variety of environmental services and cleaning duties to maintain a sanitary condition.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Custodial Worker II provides a clean and safe environment for patients to receive care and staff to provide care. This position is responsible for:

• Cleaning and servicing all areas of the hospital according to established procedures.
• Moves supplies throughout the hospital and will also move light equipment or furniture occasionally per department set up request.
• Performs a variety of environmental services and cleaning duties to help maintain the hospital in a clean and sanitary condition.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

FTE: 0.0; Casual

Work schedule: 10pm-630am; Required to work every other weekend

Required Qualifications:

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred

• Experience: Custodial experience in a hospital-related environment preferred

• Must be able to read, write and follow directions and/or oral instructions in English.
• Physical requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to push/pull 30 pounds up to 90 feet.

Salary Rate: $20.65/hour
