Job summary

Montgomery County, OH is seeking a full-performance custodial worker to maintain County facilities under supervision. The role requires cleaning floors, walls and restrooms, operating heavy floor care equipment, and ensuring overall safety and cleanliness of buildings.

Responsibilities include floor care (buffing, stripping, waxing), dusting and sanitizing rooms, trash collection, pest control, stocking supplies, and basic building security tasks as part of daily operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: eighth grade plus one course in operation of heavy equipment.

• Collects trash and deposits at compactor or dumpster; operates compactor or bailer.
• Sprays rooms to exterminate insects.

• Checks security of buildings and rooms; opens building; locks doors.
• Performs general clean-up tasks around the grounds.
• Moves furniture, boxes or other materials.
• Performs Related Duties As Required.

Education

Equivalent to eighth grade
