Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Department of General Services is seeking a Custodial Worker 1 in the Harrisburg Regional Division to clean offices, restrooms and public areas, and to keep an assigned area in a clean and orderly condition.

This essential, full-time role supports safe facilities and smooth operations, with a schedule from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Telework is not available; you will report in office during emergencies and closings.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform essential job functions.
• Full-time schedule 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday–Friday.
• Clean and maintain offices, restrooms and public areas.

Responsibilities

• Restroom surfaces cleaned and sanitized; supplies stocked.
• Dust and clean furniture, equipment, windows in offices and rooms.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and perform floor care.
• Collect and transport trash and recycling.
• Operate cleaning tools and basic equipment maintenance.
• Remove snow and debris from entrances and sidewalks.
