Description

Greenville University is seeking a Custodial Technician responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment across campus facilities, including academic buildings, administrative offices, residence halls, and common areas. This position plays a key role in supporting daily operations by ensuring that all spaces are clean, sanitary, and presentable for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning and sanitizing of classrooms, offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors and other surfaces.
• Empty trash and recycling containers and replace liners as needed.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms, including fixtures and supplies.
• Restock paper products, soap, and other necessary supplies.
• Clean windows, glass doors, and interior surfaces.
• Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns in a timely manner.
• Assist with setup and cleanup for campus events, meetings, and special functions.
• Follow established safety procedures and proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Perform seasonal or deep cleaning duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous custodial, janitorial, or housekeeping experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

• Must be able to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment
