Job summary

The Custodial Technician at Ymca of Greater Springfield, Inc keeps the Health and Wellness Center, Early Learning Center and other spaces clean and safe. Shift is Monday–Friday 6:00pm–11:00pm, part-time, with a pay rate of $18/hour.

Responsibilities include waste removal, sanitizing bathrooms, floors and surfaces, restocking supplies, and light maintenance tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent strongly preferred.
• 1-2 years of related experience preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience with wood and tile floor maintenance (i.e. wax, shine, strip).
• Basic knowledge of cleaning products.
• Exceptional customer relations focused attitude.
• Strong focus on critical problem solving.
• Willingness to work in a team-centric environment.

• Clean and maintain the Wellness Floor, Gymnasium, Community room and other spaces as needed.

• Clean inside windows and mirrors, as needed. As well as outside windows.
• Maintain and inventory of supplies.
• Ensure proper labeling and dilution of all chemicals.
