Job summary

I3 INFOTEK INC. is seeking Custodial Team Members to provide professional custodial and building-support services at State of Arizona facilities.

The selected candidates will be responsible for maintaining clean, safe, sanitary, and well-maintained offices and facility areas while following established cleaning, safety, sanitation, and security procedures. Key tasks include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal, restocking supplies, and safely handling cleaning chemicals.

Qualifications

  • Previous custodial or commercial cleaning experience.
  • Ability to safely use cleaning supplies, chemicals, and custodial equipment.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, safety procedures, and established cleaning standards.
  • Reliable attendance and ability to work the assigned 1:00 PM–9:00 PM shift.
  • Ability to work 100% onsite in Phoenix, AZ.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily cleaning and sanitation of offices, restrooms, break rooms, common areas, corridors, entrances, and assigned facility spaces.
  • Sweep, mop, scrub, strip, wax, and maintain hard-surface floors using appropriate equipment and cleaning products.
  • Vacuum, spot-clean, extract, and shampoo carpeted areas as needed.
  • Clean and sanitize high-touch surfaces, furniture, fixtures, doors, glass, walls, and other building surfaces.
  • Clean and maintain restrooms, including toilets, urinals, sinks, partitions, mirrors, dispensers, and floors.
  • Collect, remove, and properly dispose of trash, recycling, and routine facility waste.
  • Restock custodial supplies and restroom consumables and report shortages to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Safely mix, handle, label, store, and use cleaning chemicals according to manufacturer instructions, SDS requirements, and applicable safety standards.
  • Operate and maintain custodial equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor machines, auto-scrubbers, extractors, buffers, and pressure-washing equipment.
  • Perform periodic and deep-cleaning activities, including floor care, carpet extraction, high-dusting, wall washing, and other specialized cleaning.
  • Assist with preparing facilities for meetings, inspections, special events, and other operational activities.
  • Move and handle custodial equipment, supplies, furniture, and materials as required.
  • Maintain custodial work areas and storage spaces in a clean, orderly, secure, and sanitary condition.
  • Identify and report maintenance issues, safety hazards, spills, leaks, damaged equipment, and other facility concerns.
  • Follow established building-security procedures and ensure assigned areas and equipment are properly secured.
  • Provide courteous and professional service to employees, visitors, contractors, and building occupants.
  • Follow assigned schedules, procedures, quality standards, and State policies.
  • Perform other related custodial and facility-support duties as assigned.

  • May be exposed to cleaning chemicals, dust, dirt, odors, wet surfaces, and varying temperatures.
  • Must follow PPE requirements, chemical-handling procedures, sanitation standards, and workplace safety practices.
