Job summary

Verde Clean is seeking reliable Custodians to support operations at TSMC in Phoenix, Arizona. As a Custodian, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment while supporting Verde Clean's commitment to sustainability, safety, and exceptional service.

Shifts available Monday–Friday with several start times. Responsibilities include cleaning offices and common areas, restocking supplies, and reporting safety hazards to ensure a safe workplace for employees and visitors.

Qualifications

• Janitorial, custodial, or cleaning experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of cleaning equipment and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Clean offices, conference rooms, breakrooms, and restrooms.
• Vacuum, mop, dust, and disinfect surfaces.
• Restock supplies and empty trash receptacles.
• Maintain a professional and welcoming environment for employees and visitors.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms and common areas.
• Wipe and sanitize desks, counters, and high‑touch surfaces.
• Report safety hazards and maintenance concerns.
• Provide friendly and professional customer service.

Available Shifts

• Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM
• Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
• Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM

Work Areas

Custodians may be assigned to one of the following teams:

Construction Cleanup Team

• Clean construction areas and common spaces
• Remove dust, debris, and construction-related waste
• Prepare newly completed areas for occupancy
• Follow all site safety requirements and PPE protocols

Office Cleaning Team

• Clean offices, conference rooms, breakrooms, and restrooms
• Vacuum, mop, dust, and disinfect surfaces
• Restock supplies and empty trash receptacles
• Maintain a professional and welcoming environment for employees and visitors
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors
• Clean and disinfect restrooms and common areas
• Wipe and sanitize desks, counters, and high-touch surfaces
• Remove trash and debris
• Restock facility supplies
• Report safety hazards and maintenance concerns
• Provide friendly and professional customer service

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand, walk, and move continuously throughout an entire shift on various surfaces including concrete, tile, and carpet; ability to climb stairs and navigate multi-floor facilities as needed
• Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 lbs. unassisted frequently; up to 35 infrequently
• Must be able to push and maneuver loaded janitorial carts, trash receptacles, and supply carts weighing up to 25 lbs. frequently; up to 35 infrequentlyFrequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, squatting, and overhead reaching up to 8 feet using a step stool or ladder; repeated twisting and extension of arms and shoulders while mopping, sweeping, scrubbing, and wiping surfaces
• Ability to grip, squeeze, and manipulate cleaning tools, spray bottles, brooms, mops, and equipment controls repeatedly throughout the shift; manual dexterity sufficient to operate floor buffers, auto scrubbers, wet/dry vacuums, and steam cleaners
• Ability to identify areas requiring cleaning, inspect surfaces for soil and residue, and read product labels and safety data sheets (SDS); ability to distinguish colors sufficient to sort waste streams and identify chemical products
• Must be able to work in environments with varying temperatures including outdoor areas, and high-humidity areas such as restrooms and kitchens; ability to tolerate exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, odors, and allergens while following all PPE and safety protocols
• Capable of maintaining consistent physical output throughout the shift with standard rest breaks
