Job summary

Fort Bend ISD's James C. Neill Elementary in Richmond, TX seeks a Custodian Assistant Lead Elem_Non Campus to assist the Lead Custodian in supervising and planning custodial work at the school. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least 2 years of custodial experience, and the ability to work varied shifts. Strong English skills and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of institutional custodial experience.
• Ability to work varied shifts (days, nights, weekends) and some after-hours rentals.
• Ability to read, write and follow English instructions.
• Ability to supervise and coordinate a moderate-sized staff of custodial employees.
• Knowledge of basic custodial safety practices and equipment use.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, scheduling, assigning, coordinating, and supervising a moderate-sized group of custodial staff.
• Coordinate set up for school and facility rentals and supervise custodial activities.
• Assist in training staff on methods, equipment use, and performance expectations.
• Assign equipment, maintain inventory, and prepare work reports.
• Maintain safety meetings and ensure staff are informed and trained.
• Conduct daily inspections for cleanliness and security and report issues.
