Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP in Minneapolis seeks a Custodial Supervisor to oversee custodial staff, coordinate daily tasks, and ensure sanitation standards are met in assigned areas. You will train, inspect, and enforce safety policies while managing supplies and equipment to support operations.

A bachelor’s degree is preferred and supervisory experience in facilities is a plus. This on-site role offers leadership opportunities and a strong commitment to OSHA compliance and quality across SBM

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Facilities Management, or a related field is preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education, technical training, professional certifications, and progressively responsible experience leading facilities, operations, janitorial, manufacturing, or service teams will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise the activities of employees in the Custodial program.
• Train and instruct employees in tasks, safety, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure that custodial services meet the needs of the site and that personnel have the equipment and supplies necessary to perform their job.
• Conduct regular quality, service, and safety inspections of assigned areas and report the results with emphasis on needed repairs.
• Evaluate and recommend new custodial supplies and equipment by conducting testing.
• Ensure specified contract services are provided by the contractor by inspecting the work performed.
• Interview, hire, plan, assign, and direct work; performance evaluations; rewarding and disciplining employees.
• Address complaints and resolve problems; ensure employees are properly trained on tasks and safety requirements.
• Monitor employees for proper use of personal protective equipment, and supplies.
• Provide recommendations for corrective action on areas that need improvement.
• Review and maintain employee records such as attendance and metric data.
