Beacon Group in Tucson, AZ seeks a dedicated custodian supervisor to lead a custodial crew under the Ability One program. The role centers on training, hiring, safety, and ensuring quality cleaning across facilities.
Preference will be given to individuals with a documented disability; Beacon provides accommodations to help people succeed. This is a daytime, Monday–Friday position with competitive wages and benefits.
Since 1952, Beacon Group has been creating opportunities for people with disabilities across Southern Arizona, Phoenix and beyond. As a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit, Beacon serves over 2000 people with disabilities each year. Beacon provides job training and placement, supported and center-based employment, and day treatment programs to assist nearly two-thirds of working-age people with disabilities who do not have a job. As a Beacon employee, you can be a part of delivering our mission and improving the lives of people with disabilities.
This position is part of the Ability One program, which supports people with disabilities, and requires candidates to meet its definition of 'disabled.' Specifically, "a person who has a severe physical or mental impairment which so limits the person's functional capabilities that the individual is unable to engage in competitive employment over an extended period of time." We seek a dedicated person to train and supervise a custodial crew. Previous custodial and supervisory experience is preferred.
To support our mission, preference will be given to individuals with a documented disability. Beacon Group provides extra accommodation and supports to help people with disabilities be successful at their jobs.
Because we participate in the AbilityOne program, preference will be given to individuals with a documented disability.
We are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer, and we encourage all qualified persons with disabilities and veterans to apply. If your disability requires accommodation, please discuss it with us as we are happy to work with you.
