Job summary

State of Oklahoma's Sallisaw Veterans Home is seeking a full-time Housekeeping staff member for the day shift (8:00am–4:30pm). Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, dusting, sanitizing rooms and washrooms, disposing of trash, and keeping areas well stocked and orderly.

Applicants should have at least six months of custodial or institutional cleaning experience. The role requires the ability to lift up to 40 pounds, push/pull 25 pounds, and pass a physical exam after a conditional offer.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials and equipment used in custodial work.
• Ability to follow instructions and operate custodial equipment.
• English proficiency to perform essential duties.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps, dusts, mops, scrubs, washes, vacuums, waxes, and polishes building areas.
• Cleans and sanitizes washrooms and bedrooms; maintains supplies.
• Collects and disposes of trash; reports safety concerns; maintains records.
