Job summary

Amentum seeks a Custodial Supervisor to lead daily housing and custodial operations for a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. You will manage facilities staff, oversee maintenance of utilities, and ensure safety and compliance with contract requirements.

You will coordinate with USAG-KA representatives, develop annual plans and budgets, and report on facilities activities to senior management. US deployment experience and ability to travel internationally are preferred.

Amentum is seeking a Custodial Supervisor to support a unique US Navy program on the island of Diego Garcia. The Custodial Supervisor has primary responsibility for the day-to-day operations and management of the housing and custodial infrastructure including operations and maintenance of buildings, equipment, and utilities. Ensures all site operations are in compliance with the goals of the customer and according to company policies and procedures.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Establishes work requirements, coordinates, prioritizes and successfully completes short and long term projects.
• Has oversight over Faculties Cleaning, Temporary, and Permanent Housing procedures and processes for base.
• Manages objectives, strategy and performance through development of annual plans, budgets and short and long range plans as well as monitoring performance relative to established plans and budgets.
• Ensures that all purchasing and inventory control for the facility is cost effective.
• Ensures building integrity and maintenance of electrical, water, air systems and maintenance of facility grounds.
• Oversees facility operation including general maintenance of HVAC and electrical systems and installation of customer and company mechanical/electrical solutions.
• Provides work and service requests where required.
• Oversees and implements all safety policies and procedures. Ensure that all safety requirements are observed.
• Prepares and presents reports to senior management regarding the status of facilities activities, construction and/or renovation projects as required.
• Responsible for the employment, training and performance evaluation of Facilities employees.
• Coordinates Housing assignments with USAG-KA Representatives.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned that are consistent with the nature and level of the position.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in custodial service management.
• High school degree or equivalent
• Advanced knowledge of building operations and management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Must be in possession of a valid passport and able to travel internationally.
• Passport should be valid for at least one (1) year at the time of hire.
• Ability to obtain country-specific visas per the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide.
• Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for duration of deployment.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
• Must be able to speak, read, and comprehend English.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and people skills.
• Preferred at least five (5) years of related management experience.
• Previous work experience in an austere OCONUS environment with a multi-national workforce.
• Excellent organizational, time management and customer service skills.
• Valid country driver's license.

Working Environment
