Job summary

The University of Central Florida is seeking a Custodial Specialist II to maintain a clean, safe campus environment. You will perform deep cleaning, floor and carpet care, and light pressure washing while supporting work requests in IWMS. Training new staff and upholding safety standards are key parts of the role.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in custodial work and knowledge of floor care processes. This on-site position requires a valid Class E license for travel across campus as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 2+ years in custodial work or an equivalent combo of education and experience.
• Experience with floor care, deep cleaning, and restorative practices preferred.
• Proficiency with IWMS or similar work-order systems; able to use standard office devices.

Responsibilities

• Perform deep cleaning and restorative projects, including floor care and carpet; light pressure washing.
• Carry out routine cleaning tasks for assigned areas per established standards.
• Lead project work as directed by supervisor; gather supplies and operate equipment.
• Identify defects and submit work requests; assist training of team members on SOPs.
• Ensure custodial equipment runs efficiently; stock supplies and maintain safety protocols.
