Global Connections to Employment (GCE) is a nationwide team dedicated to providing jobs for people with significant disabilities, including veterans. We are seeking a Custodial Shift Leader to safely perform contract duties and ensure quality service across sites in Mississippi.

The role requires 2+ years custodial experience and 1+ year in a lead/supervisory capacity, plus a valid state driver’s license and the ability to pass background screenings.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in custodial or related services.
• Must have a minimum of one (1) year of experience in a lead or supervisory role.
• Ability to work independently to support the group effort.
• Ability to interact appropriately with customers and team members.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license in the state they reside, with satisfactory driving record.
• Must be able to pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings.

The Custodial Shift Leader is responsible for safely performing contract duties as assigned by management. Quality customer service is expected to be provided at all times. Knowledge and willingness to learn all aspects of the job is a requirement of the position.

Role Requirements

• Experience:
  • Must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in custodial or related services.
  • Must have a minimum of one (1) year of experience in a lead or supervisory role.
• Must have the ability to work independently as needed to support the group effort.
• Must be physically able to perform general tasks detailed in the assigned contract.
• Must be able to interact appropriately with customers and team members.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license in the state they reside, have a satisfactory driving record, and be insurable under corporate policy.
• Must be able to pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings, as appropriate.

Physical Requirements

• May travel to and from various locations and buildings throughout the year and in various weather conditions. Most work will take place indoors. May work with cleaning chemicals. Will be required to follow the Emergency Operations Work Assignment per customer requirements. Schedules are subject to change. May require working early morning, mid-morning, afternoon, and/or evening hours as well as weekends and holidays.
• While performing this job's duties, the team member is regularly required to bend, crouch, walk, climb stairs and ladders, reach above head, sit (to drive), and lift up to 40 pounds. Will occasionally be required to lift or move up to 50 pounds.
