Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must meet peace officer standards per Government Code 1031.
• Complete Stanislaus County arrest and firearms training and jail operations course within 12 months.
• Maintain good moral character and no disqualifying criminal history.
• Possess valid California drivers license; 21+ years old; eligible for POST certification SB 2.

Responsibilities

• Receive, book, search, attend, and release incarcerated persons in the Jail, Honor Farm, and Public Safety Center.
• Maintain order and discipline among incarcerated persons.
• Type booking slips, head-count rosters, incident reports, and other forms.
• Serve Civil process papers.
• Escort and transport incarcerated persons to and from the clinic, court, hospital, and State institutions.
• Appoint and supervise trustees; and supervise daily activities.
