Job summary

Boyd Gaming Corporation in Indiana is seeking a Custodial Services Manager to oversee all housekeeping operations in designated facilities. You will ensure areas are clean, safe, and orderly, and manage the department to meet business, departmental, and budget goals.

The role requires 3 years of housekeeping management experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to lead a team, schedule staff, address customer concerns, and uphold safety standards in a casino

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Three (3) years of experience in housekeeping management and Executive Housekeeper Certification preferred.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds.
• Other physical requirements include bending, reaching, kneeling, squatting, climbing, pushing and pulling.
• May be exposed to casino-related environmental factors including noise and second-hand smoke.
• Must be able to operate and demonstrate the proper use of all equipment.
• Must have general computer skills.
• Must have strong organizational and communication skills.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses.
• Must be able to provide team member direction with emergency procedures.

Responsibilities

• Handle personnel-related matters including interviewing, hiring, training, coaching, evaluating, counseling, and discharging staff.
• Establish department guidelines, rules and regulations and training programs.
• Coordinate scheduling and assign employees in alignment with business needs.
• Handle customer complaints and concerns.
• Prepare and distribute assignments.
• Inspect and approve cleaning of all assigned areas; review status of assignments and follow-up as needed.
• Check all cleaning aids and equipment to ensure proper working order and compliance with safety standards.
• Handle customer complaints and concerns.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
• Educate team members on safety programs; i.e. awareness on safety, prevention and emergency procedures.
