Job summary

Chesterfield County Public Schools seeks an experienced Custodial Supervisor Assistant to support in-house and contracted custodial services on multiple school campuses. You will train staff, enforce safety guidelines, and collaborate with vendors on performance and plans.

Responsibilities include scheduling, supervising Custodian II staff (2–7 people), preparing reports, and coordinating special projects. A Virginia driver’s license and background checks are required for this role.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated supervisory skills in leading a custodial staff of 2–7 people.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and safety procedures.
• Ability to organize schedules and track attendance and hours accurately.
• Valid VA Driver’s License and driving position duties.

Responsibilities

• Support the Custodial Supervisor in overseeing in-house and vendor cleaning services.
• Develop and maintain schedules for Custodian II staff and record attendance.
• Lead regular Custodian II meetings for knowledge sharing and performance reviews.
• Create, track and manage work orders for schools as needed.
• Provide on-call support for after-school custodial issues and emergencies.
