Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP seeks a Custodial Lead to oversee cleaning and sanitation of assigned areas and provide guidance to custodial staff in Greencastle.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of related experience; CPR/AED/First Aid certification is preferred, and forklift certification may be required. The shift is Monday-Friday, 6:00am-2:30pm, paying $18.00-$19.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma / GED required.
• At least 1-year related experience.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification.
• May require valid driver's license.
• Forklift certification may be required.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willing to share with team.
• Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment.
• Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties.
• Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule.
• Provide work direction and assistance to custodians as directed by Custodial Supervisor
• Assist Custodial Supervisor in scheduling and training staff as needed
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment.
• Track equipment inventory, maintenance, and repair
• Schedule clean up and repairs as needed
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area
• Track and maintain supply inventory
• Assist Custodial Supervisor in purchasing cleaning supplies and equipment
• Perform quality, service, and safety inspections
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor
• Report employee personnel and customer issues to supervisor
• Monitor employees for proper use of personal protective equipment, and supplies
• Correct at risk behavior and report to the supervisor immediately
• Provide recommendations for corrective action on areas that need improvement
