Job summary

MSD Decatur Township Schools operates a Custodial Foreman role focused on leading custodial staff to maintain clean, safe, and orderly school facilities across assigned buildings. You will assist the Head Custodian and ensure routines are followed during the shift.

Flexibility to switch shifts during fall, winter, spring, and summer breaks is required. Duties include cleaning, minor repairs, event setup, equipment operation, and reporting maintenance needs.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Background clearance required.
• Experience leading a custodial team is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Cleans restrooms, classrooms, and common areas.
• Stock supplies and maintain cleaning equipment.
• Operate and check district vehicles and basic systems.
• Set up rooms for events and meetings.
• Report repairs to proper authorities and perform minor repairs.
