Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is seeking a Custodial Lead in Zebulon, NC. The role focuses on cleaning, sanitation, and providing work direction to custodial staff under the Custodial Supervisor.

You will operate cleaning equipment, monitor inventory, and assist with scheduling and training while upholding safety standards and quality inspections.

Qualifications

• Education and/ or Experience: High school diploma / GED required. At least 1-year related experience.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification required; Driver’s license may be required.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment; ability to read instructions and policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties as assigned.
• Follow the daily schedule and provide direction to custodial staff as directed by supervisor.
• Assist in scheduling and training staff; operate motorized cleaning equipment.
• Maintain supply inventory and track equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Report incidents, inspect safety, and ensure proper PPE usage.

Job Overview

The Custodial Lead will be responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of the areas assigned and provides some work direction to custodial staff.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties
• Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule
• Provide work direction and assistance to custodians as directed by Custodial Supervisor
• Assist Custodial Supervisor in scheduling and training staff as needed
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment
• Track equipment inventory, maintenance, and repair
• Schedule clean up and repairs as needed
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area
• Track and maintain supply inventory
• Assist Custodial Supervisor in purchasing cleaning supplies and equipment
• Perform quality, service, and safety inspections
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor
• Report employee personnel and customer issues to supervisor
• Monitor employees for proper use of personal protective equipment, and supplies
• Correct at risk behavior and report to the supervisor immediately
• Provide recommendations for corrective action on areas that need improvement

Qualification

• Education and/ or Experience: High school diploma / GED required. At least 1-year related experience.
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: CPR/AED/First Aid certification . May be required to have a valid driver’s license. Completed all safety and task training certification. May be required to be forklift certified.
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willing to share with team
• Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment
• Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use

Compensation and Shift

Tuesday - Saturday 6:00AM-3:00PM $17.00-$18.00 per hour
