Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is seeking a Custodial Lead in Fayetteville, GA to oversee cleanliness and sanitation of assigned areas and provide some guidance to custodial staff. The role involves performing janitorial duties, following daily schedules, directing custodians, and assisting in scheduling, training, and equipment management.

Hours include 6:00am-2:30pm or 2:00pm-10:30pm with pay of $16.00-$17.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification may be required; driver’s license may be required; forklift certification may be required.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties.
• Follow daily schedule tasks.
• Provide work direction and assistance to custodians as directed by Custodial Supervisor.
• Assist Custodial Supervisor in scheduling and training staff as needed.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment.
• Track equipment inventory, maintenance, and repair.
• Schedule clean up and repairs as needed.
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area.
• Monitor employees for proper PPE use and safety compliance.
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.

Job Overview

The Custodial Lead will be responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of the areas assigned and provides some work direction to custodial staff.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties
• Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule
• Provide work direction and assistance to custodians as directed by Custodial Supervisor
• Assist Custodial Supervisor in scheduling and training staff as needed
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment
• Track equipment inventory, maintenance, and repair
• Schedule clean up and repairs as needed
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area
• Track and maintain supply inventory
• Assist Custodial Supervisor in purchasing cleaning supplies and equipment
• Perform quality, service, and safety inspections
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor
• Report employee personnel and customer issues to supervisor
• Monitor employees for proper use of personal protective equipment, and supplies
• Correct at risk behavior and report to the supervisor immediately
• Provide recommendations for corrective action on areas that need improvement

Qualification

• Education and/ or Experience: High school diploma / GED required. At least 1-year related experience
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: CPR/AED/First Aid certification . May be required to have a valid driver’s license. Completed all safety and task training certification. May be required to be forklift certified
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents Strong verbal and written communication skills Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willing to share with team Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use
