Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is seeking a Custodial Lead in Wisconsin to oversee cleanliness and sanitation of assigned areas and provide direction to custodial staff. The role supports daily operations and ensures safe work practices.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED with at least one year of related experience; CPR/First Aid and forklift certification may be needed. Expect regular scheduling, inventory control, and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

• Education: high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year related experience.
• Certifications: CPR/AED/First Aid; may require forklift certification and a valid driver’s license.
• Knowledge: ability to read instructions, manuals, and procedures; strong communication.
• Ability to supervise via direction to custodial staff when needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties and follow the daily schedule.
• Provide work direction and assistance to custodians as directed by Custodial Supervisor.
• Assist in scheduling and training staff as needed.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment and monitor safety practices.
• Track equipment inventory, maintenance, and repair; report issues.
• Schedule cleanups and repairs; maintain area upkeep and supply inventory.
• Assist in purchasing cleaning supplies and equipment; perform inspections.

Job Overview

The Custodial Lead will be responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of the areas assigned and provides some work direction to custodial staff.

Roles & Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully and safely, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.

• Perform janitorial duties
• Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule
• Provide work direction and assistance to custodians as directed by Custodial Supervisor
• Assist Custodial Supervisor in scheduling and training staff as needed
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment
• Track equipment inventory, maintenance, and repair
• Schedule clean up and repairs as needed
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area
• Track and maintain supply inventory
• Assist Custodial Supervisor in purchasing cleaning supplies and equipment
• Perform quality, service, and safety inspections
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor
• Report employee personnel and customer issues to supervisor
• Monitor employees for proper use of personal protective equipment, and supplies
• Correct at risk behavior and report to the supervisor immediately
• Provide recommendations for corrective action on areas that need improvement

Education and/ or Experience: High school diploma / GED required. At least 1-year related experience

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: CPR/AED/First Aid certification . May be required to have a valid driver’s license. Completed all safety and task training certification. May be required to be forklift certified

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willing to share with team

Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment

Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use

Sunday to Thursday 8am to 4:30pm
