Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is seeking a Custodial Lead in Indianapolis to oversee daily cleaning and sanitation tasks with guidance to custodial staff. The role involves following the schedule, maintaining equipment, and supporting the supervisor with training and coverage as needed.

You will operate cleaning machinery, monitor safety practices, and report issues while ensuring high standards of cleanliness across assigned areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification required.
• Forklift certification may be required.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties and follow daily schedule.
• Provide work direction and assistance to custodians as directed by Custodial Supervisor.
• Assist Custodial Supervisor in scheduling and training staff as needed.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment.
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
• Monitor employees for proper use of PPE and supplies.

Title:Custodial LeadJob Description:Job OverviewThe Custodial Lead will be responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of the areas assigned and provides some work direction to custodial staff.Roles & ResponsibilitiesTo perform this job successfully and safely, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.Perform janitorial dutiesPerform all duties listed on the daily scheduleProvide work direction and assistance to custodians as directed by Custodial SupervisorAssist Custodial Supervisor in scheduling and training staff as neededOperate motorized cleaning equipmentTrack equipment inventory, maintenance, and repairSchedule clean up and repairs as neededMaintain daily upkeep of assigned areaTrack and maintain supply inventoryAssist Custodial Supervisor in purchasing cleaning supplies and equipmentPerform quality, service, and safety inspectionsReport incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisorReport employee personnel and customer issues to supervisorMonitor employees for proper use of personal protective equipment, and suppliesCorrect at risk behavior and report to the supervisor immediatelyProvide recommendations for corrective action on areas that need improvementQualificationTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
