Job summary

Clearwater Marine Aquarium is seeking a Custodial Guest Services Team Lead to supervise daily cleaning operations and lead a team of custodial staff and volunteers. The role requires open availability for weekdays and weekends, with cross-training on other shifts when needed.

The position emphasizes maintaining a safe, sanitary environment for guests and staff, plus leadership responsibilities and daily coordination with Supervisors and Senior Leads.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year janitorial experience preferred.
• 1 year management experience preferred.
• 1 year customer service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning maintenance equipment, supplies, chemicals, and OSHA procedures is preferred.
• OSHA training preferred.
• Must be flexible with changing shifts.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day operations of the Custodial Guest Services Department.
• Maintain interior and exterior cleanliness of the aquarium.
• Provide a safe, sanitized atmosphere for guests and staff.
• Cross-train on other shift times and cover other shifts when needed.
• Manage team members and volunteers and assist with training.
• Oversee shifts and ensure assigned duties are completed.
• Act as in-charge in the absence of supervisors.
• Maintain clear communication with the supervisor and propose improvements.
