Job summary

The Ames Center in Burnsville is seeking energetic people to join our Operations and Cleaning Team. Pay begins at $16/hour, with overnight shifts paid at a higher rate. Ideal candidates will have a flexible schedule and be willing to set up and strike events, clean before, during, and after events, and work well with guests.

• Willingness to work day, night and weekend hours.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and mop floors.
• Wash walls, woodwork and windows.
• Vacuum and extract carpets.
• Clean and stock restrooms.
• Remove trash, recycling and compostable materials.
• Assist in setting tables, chairs and other equipment for events.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL

• Have a flexible schedule and willingness to work a combination of daytime, night, and weekend hours
• Be willing to set up and strike events (tables, chairs, furniture, occasional staging) in addition to cleaning before, during, and after events
• Be willing to collaborate with co-workers and be a team player
• Be open to working with guests and patrons in a courteous manner
• Be able to regularly lift 25 pounds and occasionally 50 pounds
