Job summary

Alvin ISD is seeking a custodian equipment technician to ensure custodial equipment is in proper working order and to support other departments with diagnosis and minor repairs.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, a valid Texas Driver's License, and at least three years of related experience. Strong communication, safety awareness, and organizational skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Preferred college/technical training in related field.
• Valid Texas Driver's License.
• Ability to read and understand English.
• Knowledge of major and minor repair techniques in custodial equipment.
• Experience in washer and dryer repair.
• Able to diagnose and repair equipment in the shop and field when necessary.
• Good communications skills.
• Effective ability to give instructions.
• Must be well organized and self-motivated.
• Strong knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions associated with the work.
• Ability to teach/operate cleaning equipment and lift/heavy equipment.
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel.

Responsibilities

• Ensure custodial equipment is in proper working order and in operating excellence, appearance and safety.
• Support other departments with equipment diagnosis and minor repairs when needed.
