University of Utah is seeking a Supervisor, Janitorial Services to lead a team of custodians responsible for maintaining clean, safe facilities across campus. You will assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to quality standards while coordinating with facilities management on daily operations.
Requires a bachelor’s degree (or equivalency) with 2 years of related work experience or a master’s degree, plus supervisory and safety capabilities.

Direct/Manage/Supervise a team of housekeeping and janitorial staff in efforts to provide clean, orderly, and attractive conditions for the organization’s premises. Communicate and enforce departmental goals and standards. Assign personnel to work areas or project duties. Conduct inspections and quality assurance checks. Ensure that staff receives proper orientation, training, and ongoing education. Manage materials and equipment inventory and purchasing. Analyze and resolve escalated quality and customer service issues.

Requires a bachelor’s (or equivalency) + 2 years of directly related work experience or a master’s (or equivalency) degree.
EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT : 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor’s degree = 4 years of directly related work experience).
