Job summary

City of Abilene seeks a Custodial Supervisor to oversee routine custodial activities, supervise staff, ensure safety and cleanliness, and manage coverage during vacations or absences. Under the Division Manager’s supervision, you will inspect work areas, lead daily crew duties, and provide feedback to the custodial services supervisor, including recommendations for improvements.

A valid Texas driver’s license is required; bloodborne pathogens and HazCom training must be completed within 60 days;

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee custodial staff, maintaining a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency.
• Ensure coverage during vacation, holidays, or illness.
• Responsible for the division custodial services in the absence of custodial manager and supervisor.
• Assist in feedback from custodial staff and provide recommendations to the custodial services supervisor.
• Routinely inspect all custodial work areas and address any complaints and concerns.
• Conduct and manage safety measures.
• Conduct and oversee daily crew duties.
• Lead and participate in work assignments.
