Job summary

Texas Leadership Public Schools is seeking a Custodian in Abilene to maintain attractive, sanitary and safe facilities for students, staff and the public. Reporting to the Custodial Supervisor, you will be responsible for cleaning various areas, attending safety and cleaning training, and assisting in opening facilities for daily operations.

The role requires physical stamina, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and full-time availability. Citizenship/residency or work visa is required.

Qualifications

• High School/Trade School degree preferred.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Willingness to train on safety, cleaning solvents, and floor care.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean and sanitary facilities (classrooms, gyms, restrooms, offices).
• Attend training on safety, cleaning procedures, and equipment.
• Assist in preparing facilities for daily operations and events.
• Respond to safety or operational concerns as needed.
• Inspect facilities for cleanliness and safety and report repairs.
