The Brookline Building department is seeking a part-time Custodial Assistant to perform custodial work in and around municipal buildings. The Custodial Assistant will sweep and wash floors; vacuum; empty trash; clean sinks and counter tops; clean toilets; clean mirrors; wash walls and stalls; replace bathroom supplies; dust. Perform similar or related work as required, or as situation dictates.
Qualifications:
Ability to use hand tools for repairs and maintenance, follow written and oral instructions and determine the need for maintenance or building repair. Knowledge of cleaning materials and methods; experience in custodial and maintenance work is preferred. Moderate to strenuous physical effort including the ability to move or lift equipment and furniture is required.
Salary: $21.30 per hour/18.75 hours per week. Position open until filled.
