Job summary

Motion Industries is seeking a Customer Service Representative to support Charleston, WV customers. Under supervision, you will fulfill customer orders, respond to inquiries, quote products, and process orders via phone, email, or walk-in visits.

You will help maintain inventory levels, coordinate shipping, and support Account Representatives to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0–3 years of related experience or equivalent.
• Strong communication, reliability and attention to detail expected.

Responsibilities

• Responds to basic customer inquiries regarding products, provides quotes, and handles order entry.
• Places customer orders via telephone, fax, email, electronic methods, or walk in (counter sales).
• Influences gross profit through negotiating sale and purchase prices within parameters.
• May adjust non-contract customer pricing to meet customer demands while maximizing profit.
• Builds customer relationships to drive repeat business and process improvements.
• Orders items to ensure appropriate inventory levels are maintained for customers.
• May place orders up to $5,000 per line and $10,000 per purchase order without approval.
• Sourcing products in branch/distribution center/supplier inventory.
• Determines cost effective shipping method for customer orders.
• Partners with Account Representatives to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Expedites backorders; may pull inventory and prepare orders for shipment.
• May handle customer returns.

## Cust Serv RepApplyremote type: On-Sitelocations: USA MOT Charleston WV71time type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: R26\_0000018429**SUMMARY:** Under close supervision, the Customer Service Representative is responsible for accurately fulfilling customer orders and managing incoming customer calls.**JOB DUTIES:** • Responds to basic customer inquires regarding products, provides quotes, and handles order entry. • Places customer orders via telephone, fax, email, electronic methods, or walk in (counter sales). • Influences Motion Industries' gross profit through negotiating the sale price and purchase price, within certain parameters. • May adjust non-contract customer pricing to meet the demands of the customer based on competition, while maximizing the profit for Motion Industries. • Builds customer relationships to drive repeat business by relating to the customer and drive process improvements. • Orders items to ensure appropriate inventory levels are maintained for customers. • May place orders without approval for orders up to $5,000 per line and $10,000 per purchase order. • Responsible for sourcing products in branch inventory, distribution center inventory or supplier inventory. • Determines the most cost effective shipping method for customer orders. • Partners with Account Representatives to ensure customer satisfaction. • Expedites backorders.
