Job Title: Cushman Engineering Services Manager

Job Summary:

This position is located at the Milliken Cushman site in Williamston, SC, reporting to the Plant Manager. It is responsible for coordinating and supporting all processes related to the maintenance of the plant's physical structure, equipment, and production and environmental systems.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the production engineering maintenance department.
  2. Ensure timely completion of service calls and machinery repairs; provide maintenance support as needed.
  3. Establish work schedules, shift assignments, and work prioritization.
  4. Track equipment failures, problems, spare parts, and maintenance logs to increase equipment uptime and reliability.
  5. Ensure documentation of maintenance work, including work orders, engineering change requests, drawings, CAD files, procedures, and project logs.
  6. Participate in and spearhead value engineering projects to increase production efficiency, capacity, and quality, while reducing costs and improving equipment reliability and uptime.
  7. Evaluate, recommend, and implement process, machine, and design improvements.
  8. Oversee maintenance of the building and mechanical systems.
  9. Train and supervise the maintenance department staff.
  10. Coordinate work performed by outside vendors.
  11. Maintain a strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
  12. Manage departmental budget.
  13. Follow safety standard work protocols.

  • Ability to generate and interpret mechanical design drawings and documentation clearly.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience with AutoCAD or similar software.
  • Effective communication skills at all organizational levels.
